Check out the Guatemala El Sendero, an absolute ripper of a coffee featuring stone fruit, honeydew melon, and milk chocolate notes. This one comes from small farms in Concepción Huista, Guatemala, each averaging just 3 hectares, and perched up high between 1600-2000m. The local farmers make the most of the lush terrain and the freshwater from the Rio Azul.
It's grown under a bit of shade from native Chalum and Gravilea trees, and shares space with a couple of other fruit trees, like avos and citrus. Farming's done the old-school way here, no dodgy stuff—mostly by hand, with a lot of heart and soul from the farmers and their families.
