Introducing our Small Producers of Aponte coffee, grown and processed by 8 independent farmers in the remote town of Aponte, Nariño, Colombia. These small farms are some of the highest situated coffee farms in Colombia, with most sitting above 2000 meters above sea level. The coffee is carefully honey processed, ensuring fermentation occurs as the coffee dries, resulting in a unique, sweet and complex cup profile. Aponte's cool, windy climate and high altitudes allow for more consistency in the coffees produced, and encourages the development of cleaner, more complex flavours in the cup.

Coffee from Nariño is typically very difficult to produce due to its high elevation, but its proximity to the equator and its steep hills and valleys surrounding active volcanoes create an ideal micro-climate for coffee plants to thrive. Unfortunately, the region has been a major target of drug-related violence in the past, but thanks to the Colombian Cup of Excellence and the hard work of our export partners, Pergamino, specialty-grade coffee from the region is now being commercialized, providing a more sustainable future for the community.

By purchasing our Small Producers of Aponte coffee, you're not only getting a delicious, unique cup of coffee, but you're also supporting the small farmers of Aponte and helping to build a more sustainable future for the community.
